Jim,
I just looked at the 30L-1 skem. All you're doing is grounding the
antenna relay in the amp, which is fed with approx. -120vdc. It
probably doesn't draw half an amp. Actually, looking at the parts list,
the coil is 10,000 ohms with 2,000 ohms across it, so you do the ohms
law calc & you'll find it draws less than 1/10 amp.
If you're looking to buy the amp, take a look at the manual and find
out what you're getting. You might find a question or 2 for the seller.

The keyline voltage on the amp is 170v ....don’t know what current it might
draw but can measure that if I buy the amp.
Does anyone know if the Drake TR relay can safely handle this or if it is
best to build an interface ? Never hurts to get opinions from those who
