I monitor the signal from my T4X directly on the R4 receiver here---sometimes it sounds just as clear & as clean as a modern day rig...perhaps even better! But then all of a sudden it'll jump some TWO kilohertz at worst, & a few hertz at best. But it DOES shift, sometimes gradually as I key the rig. It is MOST disconcerting, to say the least. I thought the warmer summer temperatures would help, but no dice (the Twins were in the basement all winter long, well below 50F).
