I opened up the second R-4B that I'm refurbing for a fellow ham and was a bit
shocked at seeing that someone has taken what could be a carburettor spring,
fastened one end to the yoke and the other to the can capacitor with a hose
clamp (!). They also took a piece of braid/solder wick, attached it to the
rear of the slug rod and grounded it to the screw immediately underneath the
rear of the PTO. They also grounded the yoke to the PTO frame per the tech
bulletin.

I'll likely remove the braid to the rear of the slug rod, but I really need to
find a spring that will work properly on the PTO from the locations where it's
supposed to be (yoke to PTO shield).

Does anyone know of a source for those little springs?
