What about Frank's work on the DMA stuff. We havn't heard of him on the 
list for a while. Have you taken over that part?

I think I could start looking into this. However, I have never worked 
on XFree86 or DRI before. The first time (maybe the 2nd) I looked in 
the the sources was when I reported the last bug (Bool not defined). 
I'm also not sure how much time I could spend on it, since I'm quite 
busy with my studies right now. But it could be more relaxed the next 1 
and 1/2 months. And if I reduce the time I spend "testing" and do 
something useful instead, I might actually get some work done.

One more thing: I have only one computer here. And I can't afford a new 
one. If I could I'd rather spend the money for a better graphics card 
;-). If I really start working on this I should probably make my 
filesystems journalling. Any more advice, maybe where to start reading 
the source/docs?
