What about Frank's work on the DMA stuff. We havn't heard of him on the list for a while. Have you taken over that part? > But really nothing prevents someone to work on that subject since it > can be made in parallel. Why don't you start work on it instead? However, I have never worked on XFree86 or DRI before. The first time (maybe the 2nd) I looked in the the sources was when I reported the last bug (Bool not defined). I'm also not sure how much time I could spend on it, since I'm quite busy with my studies right now. But it could be more relaxed the next 1 and 1/2 months. And if I reduce the time I spend "testing" and do something useful instead, I might actually get some work done. One more thing: I have only one computer here. And I can't afford a new one. If I could I'd rather spend the money for a better graphics card ;-). If I really start working on this I should probably make my filesystems journalling. Any more advice, maybe where to start reading the source/docs?
