Last I checked, there are masochists out there that pay almost $50k per cpu
core to Larry Ellison for the privilege of having a platform on which to
install 3rd-party plugins (at additional cost to them), which are bloaty but
feature-rich (want SOX compliance?  a few thousand USD$ per year for a
plugin is what you need.....)
