That would be cool to mention it at the upcoming event!

I can handle hosting and optimizing/tweaking/creating a single sign on and consistent experience without an issue. Depends on the desires of the greater team.

We can take directed donations if tax deductibility is important, and we have free domain hosting with tons of bandwidth (we've never come close to using it, even with the OurSQL Podcast being hosted there; we get over 10 terabytes of bandwidth per month, so even when Drizzle hits the big time it's appropriate -- As far as logistics, giving volunteers shell access isn't a problem, though it's a shared hosted service so there's no root access.....though we can work with a solution for a dedicated server if folks have ideas).

We'd offered a while back to host the site's wiki instead of using Wikia. That offer is still valid :)

At any rate, I'd like to THANK YOU for doing the leg work to work on moving towards owning the drizzle.org domain. I'm able to donate something (at least $100), but I won't know the exact amount until after OpenSQL Camp, mid-November or so.

Speaking of which, it would be prudent to raise funds at OpenSQL Camp for this. It's coming up in a few weeks, and we can pass the hat or something more fundraiser-y.

Oh yeah, I don't have an issue with the PHP/JS/CSS/whatever. I just
can't contribute to the core code :)

I suppose it depends what people want on the site, perhaps there will
be work available for it though for both of us...

Note: Currently I work for The Pythian Group (http:// www.pythian.com/ ), a remote DBA firm, and consulting would constitute a conflict of interest. However, I do recommend our work, and if you're looking for DBA work (I do MySQL work, but they have great Oracle and SQL Server DBAs too) right now, whether you need a few hours a week, or someone fulltime while you continue a job search.

I have a webpage with tips on how to find a DBA:
http://sheeri.net/how-to-find-a-dba/
I can recommend http://www.toomanyconnections.com as a good site to find MySQL (and Oracle) DBAs. If you're looking for web design, I recommend the small business my husband works for, http://www.digital-loom.com I regret that I have no other information for any other type of position, including developer, programmer and systems administrator.
