Since so many people know PHP, phpBB might be a good idea. CAPTCHA's might not be safe from spammers though. *Details:* There is a website that does wiki comparisons of a very large list. After a lot of queries, and downloading software, XWiki looked very good, however it runs on TomCat. I will add that it comes in a standalone version. I guess the "vanilla" flavor would be "MediaWiki" - does anyone know if it's PHP?
