Mark,
If you have a proposal/idea on how best to support Maven 3, we can definitely
make sure to discuss it in an upcoming Developer Meeting.
Currently, I think we're just waiting for someone to investigate this issue,
and report back on what our options may be. If you are willing, that'd be
great. If not, then we need to reassign this to someone else to investigate how
we can support Maven 3.
Personally, I think it'd be wonderful to support Maven 3 in DSpace 1.8.0 (I
also would consider this a bug). But, I'm not familiar with what our options
are at this time.
