Mark, one last thing to note.
In my comments above, I am *not* suggesting that we apply the attached JIRA
patches as-is to 1.8.0 (in DS-996 we already decided there were concerns about
storing tombstone reasons in metadata fields).
All I'm suggesting is that we create a new patch which just generates an XMLUI
Tombstone (which is currently missing in DSpace). So, this may even need to be
a new JIRA ticket altogether, which just creates a basic XMLUI tombstone page
(with no "reason" text) that can be displayed for withdrawn items
