Ivan Masár commented on DS-1199:
--------------------------------
> Are you able to view a service document with diacriticals in the browser?
I haven't tried, because the reply forces browsers to download, not view the
service document.
However, this
$ wget [email protected] --password=dspace
http://demo.dspace.org/swordv2/servicedocument
$ enca -L none servicedocument
Unrecognized encoding
indicates a problem. I think that we might have a double-encoded string in the
collectionPolicy tag. This would be a different problem than missing encoding
decaration.
I'm curious - how did you determine that the document is valid after adding an
XML declaration with ISO-8859-1 encoding?
> SWORD V2 Service Document does not have XML processing tag with encoding

> Tested the SWORD V2 service document
> (http://demo.dspace.org/swordv2/servicedocument) on the demo server at
> http://demo.dspace.org. The service document needs <?xml version="1.0"
> encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> to be valid XML. Otherwise it breaks on the accented
> chars in the body.
