+1 Mark, I think that sounds like a good idea. My only question would be whether to call the new property "dspace.ui" or "dspace.path" (since it's the "path" off the baseUrl where DSpace is accessible). Either is fine though...just offering up another naming option.

If we want people to see build.properties as the most basic set of config params to look at and evaluate, I think the choice of "primary" UI should be in there as well.
Currently, dspace.url is defined in dspace.cfg as:
dspace.url = ""
Which actually means that if you want to use JSPUI, you should also go to dspace.cfg after ...
