Because of the significance of this change (in that it would add a new required field to build.properties), it was decided that we may not want to release this in a 'bug-fix' only release cycle. Instead, we should just document this possible misconfiguration issue in the 4.x and 3.x Documentation. http://irclogs.duraspace.org/index.php?date=2014-02-05 We should work to ensure this gets resolved once and for all in 5.0, as it's a major issue in how build.properties works. Add Comment   DSpace / DS-1823 Move dspace.url to build.properties as an independent variable (default value in dspace.cfg can cause issues) If we want people to see build.properties as the most basic set of config params to look at and evaluate, I think the choice of "primary" UI should be in there as well. Currently, dspace.url is defined in dspace.cfg as: dspace.url = "" Which actually means that if you want to use JSPUI, you should also go to dspace.cfg after ...
