There is one other potential problem with 24/7 linking...... Some of the reflectors stay so busy, that they seem to be permanently in use. This takes any gateway/repeater linked to it out of the Intermittent Service region into heavy duty permanent use!
Can DStar repeaters withstand that? Obviously "yes" in some cases if everything is going well for them (cool temps, no hardware flaws etc. But in the long term, we should anticipate problems.
