There is so much going on in airports they cannot do much except get
confused.
I was in one today, most used was laptops with wireless internet,
second wad cell phones.
third was two way radios.
Forth was limo drivers walking around with signs with the pick up
tourists names on them.
Never saw one visible security person.
I used to work in security, there is to much paranoia going on over this.
