My quick scan of the manual showed a few differences: 1. The IC-80AD / ID-80 has 4 power settings like the 92 vs 2 for the 91, with automatic power reduction to 2.5 watts when the radio gets hot in the 5 watt position. 2. It doesn't seem to have the overly complex, and seemingly single source, plug for the microphone/GPS like the 92, but still has a GPS microphone option as well as the side data/GPS jack. 3. It has specific memories (300) for storing remote repeaters, this is a new feature that also seems to be in the 880 though I didn't notice the number of channels in the 880. 4. It is a dual band (one TX/RX that can switch between 2m/70cm) rather than a twin band like the 91/92. (Probably saves power at the expense of not being able to monitor two frequencies at the same time.) 5. It looks like you have 1000 channels that can be used for a combination of FM/DV/etc. without the A/B situation on the 91 (don't know how the 92 handles it). 6. It uses the same battery as the 91 7. It does not seem to be submersible like the 92 8. It can do GPS-A
