Hi Kent, the modules, within the Icom repeater rack units, report temperature using standard CI-V format via the USB "Service" ports on the front panel.
You can either use a local Windows PC, with some additional software or update the USB stack on your G2 server, to allow the data to be read. Last year I wrote a "proof of concept" Win32 application that displays: - RX QRG - RSSI - Voltage - Temperature ...as seen by the receiver in RP-2000V and RP-4000V units. You are welcome to a copy of the program if you would like to see how often the data is updated by the Icom receiver. To use the demo application you will need to connect a Windows PC (2000/XP/Vista) to the Service-R port and load the Icom supplied FTDI drivers. 73 de Darren G7LWT 2009/8/31 Kent Hufford <[email protected]> > > > I was asked if a ICOM DSTAR repeater or the controller can "report" > remotely, repeater shack or repeater temperature. > > > > I know many analog repeaters can.
