Hi Kent,
the modules, within the Icom repeater rack units, report temperature using
standard CI-V format via the USB "Service" ports on the front panel.

You can either use a local Windows PC, with some additional software or
update the USB stack on your G2 server, to allow the data to be read.

Last year I wrote a "proof of concept" Win32 application that displays:

  - RX QRG
  - RSSI
  - Voltage
  - Temperature

...as seen by the receiver in RP-2000V and RP-4000V units. You are welcome
to a copy of the program if you would like to see how often the data is
updated by the Icom receiver. To use the demo application you will need to
connect a Windows PC (2000/XP/Vista) to the Service-R port and load the Icom
supplied FTDI drivers.
