Once a friend of mine who for months tried to make a modem to run with his PC and had
fiddled with all imaginable system files with no success, happened to witness my
installing a larger hard drive onto my since parted-with PowerMac 7100. I opened the
box, old drive out, new drive in, old drive into external box, attached to SCSI port,
pressed the button ... my friend watched with face pale as snow as the computer
started up with a happy chime, displayed Mr Mac ... a minute or so later I was
inserting the OS installer into the CD tray.
