Hi I would respectfully disagree with this post.  It is not the main 
capacitor(s) which goes out, but a little dinky one about the size of 
a pencil eraser, IF you have the TICK OF DEATH problem.  Radio Shack 
doesn't sell the same voltage rating as the defective unit--they sell 
one HIGHER which is better.  They sell the same capacitor value, only 
with a higher voltage rating--it is a repair that will last longer 
than the bum part Apple's Italian supplier put in.
This is not to say that the larger capacitors in the power supply 
don't go bad, only they don't usually cause the tick of death 
scenario. I agree that the larger capacitors are usually not carried 
by Radio Shack, but are available at an electronic parts store (as is 
the C28 replacement). I would agree that it's a hard repair to do.
