Okay, okay I believe you.  Come to think of it if that happened you would
have a large cloud of unpleasent smelling smoke and a coating of brown goo
on the inside of the power supply.  I have never actually had this happen
to me, but I thought I would try to be helpful.  At any rate though I have
a different question.  I have an old AAUI to AUI adaptor(Apple's small
connector to a DB-15 port) and an old AUI to 10Base-T transciever.  The
AUI adaptor works if hooked up to an ethernet card with an AUI port built
in, but when I try it out on a Mac with an AAUI port and that adaptor it
doesn't work.
