I'm already running the the 8100 w/G3 upgrade. It's exact specs (wandering
waaaaaay off topic here) are 8100/80AV/120MB RAM, one 2 GIG drive, one
4.5GIG drive, a Sonnet 266MHz G3 over-clocked to 300MHz, a Radius Thunder IV
accelerated nubus video card (which I understand are rather coveted now)
which is driving an old 19" SuperMac display. Unfortunately the DSP
daughtercard for accelerating PhotoShop is not supported as you mentioned.
I'm just pondering whether to hang on to it or start using an 8500 I aquired
to resell. I would, as funds permit, do a G3/4 upgrade etc.
Heck, maybe if I sold the 8100 I could use those proceeds to build this baby
up! I like pondering this kind of stuff!
To bad I can't do the same (back to topic) with a Duo230. Although if I sell
it and a bunch of other goodies I can beef up this PB1400!
Anybody want to buy a Duo230 with dead DuoDock, 3 dead batteries, and some
other junk, err, accessories for (let's see, G3 upgrade, more RAM, bigger
drive...) $695, OBO?
