Robert,

I'm not completely positive, but I believe you could find a SCSI-2 to
regular SCSI (Centronics) adapter on eBay. Not in the PowerBook section,
though. All the adapters there are HDI-30 to DB-25 or Centronics. I have one
that is used to connect the CD-ROM to the regular SCSI cable with Centronics
connectors. If not, I'm sure they can be found on the net, maybe at places
like Best Buy or CompUSA.

For the driver, well, I'm using the Apple CD/DVD driver that comes with Mac
OS 8.6, with a little bit of hacking! Works very well! I did follow the
instructions that were posted on ResExcellence. I can even boot off a system
CD if I want. Just have to insert the CD while the Mac has booted, open
Startup Disk and select the CD. Then, restart. I'm currently booting OS 9 on
my 2300c as I'm typing this, no problem.

-Laurent.
