I don�t know how to use a soldering gun and, even though I am comfortable
opening and changing things in my Duo I would be very nervous. But, if that
is all it takes it would be MUCH cheaper than buying a new book. I wish
Apple came up with a nice Duo size book but with the G3. Also, I am in the
Chicago suburbs and the small mom and pop places for computers have
disappeared, replaced with CompUSA�s (pooh!), so I am not even sure where to
go. For now, I leave it in the mini dock and when I undock it I don�t let
the battery get too low because then it cannot be restarted without
resetting the Powermanager and redocking.
