MakMac,

My rant was meant to be taken with some humor. It was
not directed at anyone on this list as a personal
attack.

I am sure everyone has had trouble finding
software/drivers/patches before and can understand how
frustrating that can be. Especially when it doesn't
appear in the most obvious places for it.

Of course, once you have been down the path, however
unlcear it might be, I am sure it is easier. My main
point was that when I searched for anything to do with
Duo type III batteries or charges I would get info on
the problem but no clear link to the fix. It seems
highly ILLOGICAL not place a link to the battery tools
or battery patch within the article that explains the
problem!

I was infact browsing near the ftp sites where you
have directed me. I just didn't see a logical path to
the data I was seeking.

BTW, your link was dead, it should have been,

http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/PowerBook/Other_PB_SW/

No hard feelings! :-)

Happy Holidays

Thanks again for your help.
