Were you grounded????

(If not you SHOULD be, for the rest of your life!!!)

What I would do is take it apart again, unplug the PRAM battery too, 
wait for some time, (get a cup of tea) then put it back again, making 
sure everythign is seated properly, no loose screws on the mother 
board etc.
