In additon to a pure mind and clean fingernails is my tip on having about 5 sheets of notepaper taped to a desk. Everytime you remove a screw or part you place it, circle it and describe where it came from. Just having the motherboard drawn up and labled, as well as the screws in the metal stiffener saves a lot of headache, not to mention which monitor ribbon goes over and which goes under. So far after 5 or so dissemblies, I've yet to lose a screw. . .
Zen and the Art of. . . was a great book, I got some concepts out of it, but I mean to re-read it one day.
