The thing to watch for in reassembly of a 2400 is make sure no parts
are left over on your workbench when you pop the case back on. =)

Seriously, if you have ever read 'Zen and the art of motorcycle
maintenance' then you will understand the discipline it takes to work
on a 2400. Pirsig's text spent several hundred pages on philosophy
and only a handful on mechanical procedures with a motorcycle, but it
was *damn* good advice.

Working on objects with the hands requires a clear, calm mind and a
clean, quiet environment to do your work. I try to be very methodical
when working on everything from my car to my powerbook. Robert Pirsig
would be proud. =)
(I have a signed copy of his 10 year anniv edition, that he signed
for me in a small bookstore in Bozeman... but I'm wandering off topic
here.)

Anyway, back to GLOD repair.

I have always found that a powermanager reset works for me. I have
yet to need to disassemble a 2400 to fix a GLOD issue. In my case I
would hesitate to call it a GLOD since it is not so much 'death' as
it is a refusal to awaken.
