Maybe I have missed something here (just tuned in) but "Mac OS Easy
Open" is a control panel that is used to specify what program will open
which file types. I remove it from my control panels folder because I
don't like it runnin' the show. I'm the boss, right?  Anyway, it has a
place where you can delete its listing of what program opens what
filetype, and then start over specifying what opens what.
