No, the LinkSys has a built-in switch, not a hub, so any speed is OK.
Sothing just hit me tho'. Ethernet switches auto-sense speed, and if
it isn't properly sensing your Global Village`'s speed, that probably
where your problem is coming from. If you can somehow force the one
of the Ports on the LinkSys down to 10mbit half-duplex, it should
work. I RAn into a similar problem trying to hook a old IIci into a
Cisco switch.
There is somthing you could do to get around the auto-sense problem,
get a second super cheap 10baseT hub, plug your 2400 into it, and
then the cheap hubs uplink port into the LinkSys.

>$100, and all which are Cardbus. And even though my 2400 has been
>'cardbus-ified' by MCE I would still prefer a non-cardbus card.
>Which brings me back to the $69.00 Hawking Technologies.
If you just need ethernet for DSL, get a cheap used ethernet card off of eBay.
