LOL! Guess those old "cold solder" joints were actually GOOD solder joints,
then!
Actually, think the advise was intended to get you to use tabbed batteries,
as the cells can't stand much heat. The tabs are spot-welded on instead of
soldered.
I actually had a set of 2,700 mAh cells from Sanyo....called back and they
quoted me only the 2150's. After a bit of asking, digging and cornering the
Sanyo rep in the corner the other day at an exhibition, it turns out that
they offered some for a while, but the life & yield were not up to
par......guess that means I'll have to rebuild that Duo batt sooner than I
thought! The 2150's are the best ones out there, it seems.
