Dear Tom&Jay
it beeps with the alt and command keys held - but i've still not gotten any
further with the printing. (i've also tried the turning appletalk on and off
thing)
i've installed the swII driver, and that elicits no response (guess it
doesn't work with my sys T-7.5.5, as Luc mentioned).
as i said, choosing the sw1200 starts the printing routine, it says
"capturing page 1", then goes to "identifying printer", meanwhile the
printer does several start up routine noises, but then in the end the duo
says the printer isn't responding and might not be on or correctly
connected, while the printer just sits in silence.
this is the SAME swII printer and SAME cable that i am this minute using
successfully to print the SAME document from my crumbling pb170
(sysT-7.5.1)!
any other suggestions on how to clear the duo's modem/printer throat and get
the document through to the printer? is it the modem panels? again, can't i
just throw out apple talk? would a sys reinstall help?
Argh!
Philip.
