Supposedly the iBook 2001 will start shipping in 3-5 weeks. But if
my experience with new PowerBook models and backorders is any
indication, it will be late, so July may be correct!
If you want to remove the hard drive and pretty much disassemble the
whole thing for resale, try these instructions:

This explains how to disassemble pretty much anything. The only
thing missing is a description of how to remove the hard drive once
you have the whole thing disassembled. A written description about
how to do this is found here:

Then just pop the 2.5" drive into your DataShuttle to access the
information. Of course you'll need another PowerBook to do that!!
Argh is right. Well if it's any consolation, there are quite a few
2400s up for sale on eBay right now. Maybe one of them will sell
cheap! I already posted one of my 2400s for sale here on the list
but it may end up on eBay too.
