Thank to all who replied. I had forgotten that MCE had a firewire datashuttle, I have their PCMCIA version. Eventually, the drive in my dead 2400 is gonna be a back-up to my 8500 desktop Mac. I have a Firewire/USB PCI card for the 8500 so I'm wondering if there's a significant difference in speed between USB and Firewire accessing my Travelstar 8 gig hard drive?

Which one should I get?
