>size to a PowerBook 2400c.
Since I have one on order after having "Zipped" my SCCI chip, thanks for posting that. Worth a 1000 words as it seems a bit larger in comparison than I had imagined. Especially the increased distance from the front edge to the keyboard, with the 2400 I could use the trackpad with my thumb and reach the keys with my palm resting comfortably on the front edge instead of on top, a bit more carpal friendly IMHO. . .

I looked far and wide to find the perfectly sized 2400 case and found it at Sam's as part of a three piece luggage set. I was able to put the 2400 in it with the wrapped up Madison line on one side. Looks like the iB2 will just fit just fine with the AC saucer in the front pocket.

Going from a battery that barely got 70 minutes to one with 5 hours will be a pleasure to have to get used to. It'll be hard to get out of the habit to plug in.

I've resigned myself to the fact that the next upgrade for the iB2 will be the color I'd rather have than white ( a dignified charcoal perhaps...) but I don't have the patience to wait.

I'm reading the TiBooks are getting scratched up quite easily, a pity but at least a plastic scratch might be polished out where I'm guessing you'd have to sandblast the TiBook to match the matt finish. . .

That's ok, I'm out of the habit of using it anyway, having been trained out of it by the 2400.

On my dearly departed 2400 I had an 8.6 partition and a 9.1 partition that I would switch to whenever one or the other got impossibly screwed up. I guess then that I'll have to wipe the whole drive to reformat it into two partitions. Glad to hear you confirm 8.6 as the better system as that was my experience as well.
