        I have a friend who claims that fine old VW smell is from the horse
hair in the upholstery getting damp and mildewing.  I have never sniffed
an old wet horse to find out if this  is true :-).

        Back on topic:  I am back using the 2300 with the new huge hard drive. 
The zip ties worked like they were meant to be.
