One thing I've done that's kinda crazy is to take an LC III or LC 475 (the
pizza box Macs) with an enet card in it wherever I'm going in a backpack,
and use the localtalk bridge on it. It works, but isn't exactly the most
efficient. I too have had problems finding an etherdock or the like at a
price I'm willing to pay :) My ideal minidock would have floppy, SCSI, and
Enet.
