Just writing to confirm Walter Johnson's information. Just got an EN/SC 10T
through eBay. Took off the HDI 30 cable. Hooked the EN/SC to the end of a
DB25 cabled SCSI chain to a Newer Tech 16sc UltraDock serving my 2300 under
MacOS 9.1-- ran quick AppleTalk test just fine. Not as elegant or perhaps
quite as fast a 16sce, but adequate for my purposes.
Best I can tell from the Asante web site, the MINI EN/SC series is the
most flexible. Certainly the MINI EN/SC 10T with the HDI 30 adapter cable
seems to allow HDI 30 connections, DB-25 connections, switchable SCSI
address, switchable termination. It is not the smallest; it does use a
reasonable hefty AC power adapter (12 VAC, 1.25amps).
