Hi all,
I recently added a CD-RW device to the SCSI chain of my DuoDock (the CPU is
a 2300c / OS 8.1), which includes a 2GB HD in the dock, an Apple 600e CD
drive and a Syquest 230 HD device. Being a TEAC product not licensed by
Apple the CD-burner was only recognized after I added a "patched" CD-driver.
But now it is overriding the Apple device: I shows up in a control panel
such as SCSI Probe with ID3 (which is the hardware setting for the Apple CD,
while the TEAC has ID1), I can use the TEAC (not the Apple CD-drive) to read
CDs, but it is not recognized by >System Profiler< and, which is the crucial
point, by the Toast application.
Now I wonder: Is it impossible to have two CD drives in a SCSI chain? Or
will I have to look for a different driver?
Thank you for any hints concerning this
Edgar
