If you are only using the CD-burner for burning, you should not use
any driver for the burner- it will show up as useable in Toast (for
burning) without a driver (as long as Toast supports it, which it
sounds like it does.). If you want to be able to use both drives at
the same time to mount 2 CDs, then leave the regular Apple driver in
there, and use the Toast CD Extension to get the burner to mount CDs.
If Toast recognizes a burner for burning, then booting with the Toast
CD extension loaded should enable the burner for reading as well. At
least, I'm pretty sure that's right ;-) There could always, of
course, be SCSI voodoo involved (like swapping ID positions, etc.)
I'm a little curious why mounting 2 CDs at once is a priority for you-
if it is?
Good Luck!
David
The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start
making vaccuum cleaners.
