I use my 2400c with an Airport base station too... but I also have an iMac available that I use to configure and manage the base station with.

Will it work with 8.6 or do I need a more recent system that has airport >as part of the system? Yes it should work with 8.6. IIRC the Base Station first shipped around the same time as OS 9 came out, so the software, at least early versions, support 8.6. I know that my iMac ran 8.6 at the time I bought the base station. >Positioning of Hardware > >1. In fact the default config should work just fine. > >4. Does the 2400 need to be cardbus enabled? No. Since I have the iMac I never had to go through the tomeviewer gyrations, so I can fill that part in for you, but I bet somebody else here can.
