My company has used Dells almost exclusively since it started. They seem to do quite well. I personally plan on getting a Vaio sooner or later, but I'm more worried about portability. After using a Duo, just about anything feels huge, bulky, and heavy. If you're worried about durability to the extreme, there are companies that make completely hardened laptops that have survived fires and falling off buildings. They're pricey though :) Whichever you do, if you start to miss you Mac, hop over to http://basilisk2.cjb.net . You'll need a ROM image from a 68k machine, but anything from a Mac II on up to a Quadra will get you MacOS 8.1. You can run a lot on a 68040, stuff like Appleworks 5 and other useful stuff. Hope this helps :) Scott Holder ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
