Thanks Chuck, you were one of the principles I was hoping to hear from.

After digesting specs, prices, etc....I'm also leaning toward IBM.  I 
find it very interesting that it's hard to find a port replicator for 
the low end machines of most lines, like Toshiba, and that after you 
spec 256+MB of RAM, nic/modem card, Win2000, etc. almost all of them 
end up over $1500 + a $200 port replicator.  I think it shows just 
how much value there is in an iBook these days.

Thanks...and I hate the 'nipple' mouse also.
