You should get great blowouts after Xmas if you can wait a little longer. Ralph, let me put this in a way that YOU can really understand. After all, how can you justify paying $2000 for a PC when you could get a 30gb iB2 600mhz combo with 600mb (1 gig?-does it take that much?) ram. In that case you could even run VPC4/NT on a ram disk with this proprietary "text" editor. Who the heck should be using anything that proprietary these days??? Or buy a cheap PC and a 500 mhz iB2 on the same budget. Or keep the old PC, buy your wife an iB2 on which she can run her notes, let her text process and then transfer the file into her court editor for finalizing. Or she could drag and drop it into VPC4/NT for finishing and still get on the office NT network (preferably wireless)--LOTS OF WAYS TO GET WITH IT! Then there's resale values of Macs...and throwaway PCs.... Also Ti/G4-400s can be found for $1500 and VPC4 runs much faster on Altivec.
