Hi gang, I think I just answered my own question... I did a search for the etherdock, and came up with the radiusvintage.com site. Unfortunately, that site is down... so I went to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine at: www.archive.org
The Wayback Machine helped me get the radiusvintage.com page from Sept 24, 2001. Here is the likely culprit according the Etherdock FAQ... ---- Q: Why does my EtherDock lock up during network activity when connected to my Duo? A: With 68040cpu-based PowerBook Duos, such as the Duo 280 or Duo 280c, a Revision "D" EtherDock must be used. The Revision 'D' EtherDock is identified by having a sticker on the bottom with the number 0008842-0004. The Revision "D" Etherdocks are no longer in production and are no longer available. ----- It looks like I won't be able to use this Etherdock. I assume that the same issue that appears with the 280x may be affecting me on my 2300c. I am experiencing the same problem. Oh well, it was worth a try. Maybe there is another ethernet solution out there that will actually work. Happy Thanksgiving, --sam Sam said at [Duo2400] OS for Etherdock....
