I'm using it with OS 9.1. The limitation is with iTunes v2. IIRC, the installer for iTunes said that it required a minimum of 9.0.4, with 9.2 needed for all functionality. That mainly meant burning CDs from within iTunes. Since I don't care to do that, I left my OS at 9.1. If you want me to fire up the installer again to read the fine print, let me know. If you're using your 2400 with a PC card to give you Firewire, you may need to get a powered hub to see the iPod. Try reading the iPod section on <http://www.macintouch.com> for some user reports.
