Although I can't say for sure in this application, I've found that pure mhz
requirements are somewhat arbitrary, and set high to make sure people always
have good enough systems. It's like the Windows 98 req being set at a 486/66
when in fact it will run fairly well on a 386/33, or MacOS 8.1 being limited
to 68040s when it will run quite well on a 68030 with enough RAM.

I wouldn't count on being able to capture full-screen 640x480 at 30fps, but
it should be useful for something. And as for overclocking, I don't have any
experience with the Beige G3s but I bet you almost anything it could be
done. Just make sure to add decent cooling.
