None of my Apple docs show a 299 mhz unit....just a 300 mhz unit. Most of those can be overclocked to 350 +/- and go up to 450 w/a processor upgrade. "Pieza de torte" to upgrade one (ummm...piece of cake). If the tech mins show 300 mhz, the G3 should swing it at the minimum level, and quite nicely with a processor upgrade or overclock (esp. if it has the later rev. logic which supports dual IDE drives per interface ... something about the video chip ... if it had the later one, it also supported dual IDEs per interface...anyone remember?)
