Eh??? None of my Apple docs show a 299 mhz unit....just a 300 mhz unit.  Most 
of those can be overclocked to 350 +/- and go up to 450 w/a processor 
upgrade.  "Pieza de torte" to upgrade one  (ummm...piece of cake).  If the 
tech mins  show 300 mhz, the G3 should swing it at the minimum level, and 
quite nicely with a processor upgrade or overclock (esp. if it has the later 
rev. logic which supports dual IDE drives per interface ... something about 
the video chip ... if it had the later one, it also supported dual IDEs per 
interface...anyone remember?)
