Thanks for the answers I got to the very basic questions I asked
the other day about what PCMCIA slots are.

Somehow I've used macs for years but never had to deal with
NuBus or PCI. What _is_ PCI, by the way? (I was
reading something the other day -- don't remember if it
was a software read-me or some trouble-shooting guide --
that mentioned PCI macs, and I wasn't sure if mine _was_
a PCI mac or not. How does one tell?)

Do some 2400s have one, and some have two?

I'd be very interested in knowing about the card that's a CompactFlash
reader . Does anyone know where I might find one to buy (the
16-bit kind), and about how much they cost? Are they hard to
find? What is the actual name of the card (so I can try to do a
search for it.)?

And do I understand correctly that no installation would be
necessary (no taking apart the machine)? I'd just find out
where the slot is located, slip in the card, and then I'd be already
to put my Flashcards into it?

And one more question, just to be sure. . . Do any and all flashcards
work with this reader? Or are their different types of flashcards?
(Mine is for a canon camera, and I transfer pictures from it to my
imac through the USB port using a little whale-shaped card reader).
