I was pointing out that a More powerful powerbook has a PCMCIA
slot, therefore it (PC slot) isn't useless as was previously indicated. By
someone else.

Yes the extended desktop is available on a Tibook . which originally
had the same video board as the iBook 500mhz.

I am not trying to offend anyone who purchased an iBook. This is
simply an argument for the PC slot on a powerbook.

My Pismo supports an external 18" LCD screen @ 1280x1064 as well
as the built in screen @ 1024x768. This is allot of desktop space. Even for me.

For the record. I've never seen a screen as bright as the iBook's. It has to be seen
to be believed. I ran some tests and there was little difference between the iBook
and the Tibook as long as altivec enhanced operations were not performed.

So, I do like the iBook. I'm not a owner but I think that apple has produced
one of the most desirable laptops by coming out with it. If I didn't have an
alternate powerbook for the 2400 I would probably buy a G4 Ti book.

I'm just playing devils advocate as well, and trying to contribute to a
side of the argument.

Please don't be offended by my statements, they are just exploratory.

Cheers
Carlos
