Gotta toss one into the pot here. Had a friend that passed himself off as a
PeeCee tech, used to "fix" friend's computers (I normally got a call
afterwards...."help!"). One day I get a call from "Greg" himself (names
changed to protect me)....wants me to look at a laptop. He comes over....he
tried to pull the keyboard to add RAM. Couldn't figure out how to release
the ribbon cables (Duo style connector, BTW). Finally YANKED the keyboard
with obvious results. As presented, the keyboard still had the connectors
attached, with remnants of the traces hanging off the connector....and "Greg"
wanted me to re-attach the connector!

I declined, natch.

What is that old crack about the "shallow end of the gene pool?" <<grin>>

Andrew
