Well, I am assuming that using a dock is the only way U can use a floppy 
drive w/ your Duo... in other words, you do not have a mini/micro or any 
other dock....or the external Duo floppy drive...

The ONLY other way that I know of is to hook up your Duo in SCSI Disk Mode to 
your desktop, using a DB-25 cable w/ a HDI-30 adapter. If U have that 
ability, U can access the Duo HD that way from the desktop, and 
repair/replace the system that way...

If neither; when U get the Dock (and if U have a Disk Tools floppy handy) U 
should have no problem...
